86 Telangana residents reach Delhi from border states amid India-Pakistan tensions
Hyderabad: A total of 86 residents originally from Telangana, who had been living and studying in India’s northern border states, have reached Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi amid escalating tensions along the India-Pakistan and northern borders. Of these, 26 individuals have been provided with transportation to return to their native places in Telangana.
The Telangana Government has designated Telangana Bhavan as the central coordination point for relief and support. With more than 100 additional people expected to arrive today, arrangements for accommodation, food, medical care, and onward travel have been made in advance.
Resident Commissioner Dr. Gaurav Uppal personally inspected the facilities and directed staff to ensure all essential services are in place. He confirmed that the government would extend full assistance to all Telangana residents arriving at the Bhavan during this period.
Among those who arrived yesterday morning were students from Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar and various institutions in Jammu and Kashmir. Eight individuals from Jammu and Kashmir reached Telangana Bhavan. Temporary lodging, meals, and travel arrangements were provided for them. As of yesterday, the control room at Telangana Bhavan had received around 30 distress calls.
The government is offering free accommodation and meals to all those arriving from the affected areas. Additional lodging is being arranged as needed.

A medical camp has been set up to provide basic health check-ups, and transport assistance is available for those continuing their journey to airports or railway stations.
Under the direction of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the Telangana Government is working in coordination with local authorities and the central government to monitor the situation and ensure the safe relocation of its citizens from the border regions.
