Red alert issued in four Telangana districts as monsoon rainfall intensifies
Hyderabad: With monsoon rains continuing across Telangana, the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre (TGiCCC) has ramped up emergency preparedness to ensure public safety and coordinate disaster response efforts across the state.
Following weather forecasts by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and on-ground assessments, the TGiCCC has issued a Red Alert for Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, and Peddapalli districts. These areas are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall, and authorities are monitoring the situation for potential flooding, road disruptions, and emergency rescue needs.
An Orange Alert has also been issued for Adilabad, Nizamabad, Jagitial, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, and Bhadradri Kothagudem, where significant rainfall may cause localized disruptions.
Alerts have been sent to respective District Collectors, Commissioners/Superintendents of Police, and control rooms via the Sachet Integrated Alert Platform. The alerts aim to help local authorities take timely precautions and inform the public.
The Multi-Agency Operations Centre (MAOC) at TGiCCC is functioning 24x7, maintaining coordination with district control rooms, police units, disaster response teams, municipal bodies, and civic agencies. All relevant departments have been placed on high alert and advised to activate emergency response protocols where required.
In the Greater Hyderabad region, Joint Action Teams, comprising the HYDRAA Disaster Response Force (DRF), GHMC, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB), Southern Power Distribution Company (TGSPDCL), and police (law and traffic), are monitoring waterlogging points and coordinating response efforts.

- Incident mapping through GIS dashboards
- Video surveillance analysis from public cameras
- Resource coordination across agencies
- Public alerts via Sachet platform and social media
The TGiCCC has reiterated its commitment to managing the situation through real-time monitoring, inter-agency coordination, and technology support. Citizens are advised to follow official alerts and cooperate with local authorities. The centre will continue to operate round-the-clock and provide ongoing support to emergency services throughout the monsoon season.
