According to CNN-News18, Telangana police officials may oppose the bail given to the actor by the Telangana High Court. However, it did not clarify when the police would move the apex court.

During the premiere show of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ at the theatre on December 4, an unmanageable crowd caused a stampede and a 39-year-old woman, identified as Revathi, died due to asphyxiation, and her nine-year-old son Sritej was hospitalized with a serious injury.

Based on a complaint from the victim’s husband, the Chikkadpally Police Station registered a case under sections 105, 118(1) r/w 3(5) of the BNS Act. Allu Arjub was arrested on December 13 and the high court granted him interim bail the same day.

Following his release, the actor addressed a press conference and said he is a law-abiding citizen and will cooperate in the probe into the incident.

“It was purely accidental and unintentional... I have been going to the same theatre for the last 20 years, and I have been to the same place more than 30 times. There has never been an accident like this before. I should reserve my comments because I don't want to say anything that will tamper with the case,” Allu Arjun told reporters.

Earlier in the day, Hyderabad police commissioner CV Anand and Telangana health secretary Dr Christina visited the boy who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city. He said it will take longer for his full recovery as he still continues to be on ventilator support. The top cop informed that the hospital management will soon issue a medical bulletin to share an update on his medical condition.
