Further advisory added to observance of “Friday- Dry Day” every week to get rid of stagnant water around your house. Prevent waterborne infections - acute gastroenteritis, jaundice and typhoid, drink filtered/boiled water, wash hands, especially before and after meals and avoid eating outside stale food.

Guard against airborne infections - viral fevers and influenza. Avoid shaking hands with someone who is sick, or when sick yourself. Use hand sanitizers often to avoid infection. Also, use a handkerchief when you sneeze or cough. If someone has flu-like symptoms, like a cough with fever, headache, sore throat, and body aches, be extra cautious.
