Seven IPS officers transferred in major Telangana reshuffle
Hyderabad: The Government of Telangana on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, issued a notification ordering the transfer and posting of several IPS officers across the state. The reshuffle includes senior-level appointments and changes in district-level policing.
According to the official order issued in the name of the Governor by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, the following changes have been made:
Abhilasha Bisht, IPS (1994), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Director, RBVRR Telangana State Police Academy (TGPA), Hyderabad. She takes over from V.V. Srinivasa Rao, IPS (1995), who held the post as an additional charge.
Shikha Goel, IPS (1994), currently serving as Director General of Police, CID, Hyderabad, and holding additional charges of Director, Telangana Cyber Security Bureau and in-charge Director of Telangana FSL and Women Safety (SHE Teams & Bharosa), has been posted as Director, Telangana Cyber Security Bureau, Hyderabad. She will also hold full additional charge of Director, Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) until further orders.
Charu Sinha, IPS (1996), on repatriation from central deputation, has been appointed as Additional Director General of Police, CID, Telangana, Hyderabad. She replaces Shikha Goel. Sinha will also hold additional charge as ADGP, Women Safety, SHE Teams & Bharosa, Hyderabad.
Tafseer Iqubal, IPS (2008), Special Secretary to the Government, Minorities Welfare Department, has been posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Zone VI, Charminar.
D.V. Srinivasa Rao, IPS (2013), Superintendent of Police, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad District, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Medak District.
Patil Kantilal Subhash, IPS (2020), Deputy Commissioner of Police, South East Zone, Hyderabad City, has been appointed as Superintendent of Police, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad District, replacing Srinivasa Rao.
Chaitanya Kumar, IPS (2020), Deputy Commissioner of Police, Security Branch, Hyderabad City, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, South East Zone, Hyderabad City. The changes take effect immediately.
