Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy inaugurated the new Sonata Software facility in Nanakramguda, Hyderabad, on Monday, May 12, 2025.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister congratulated the employees and management of Sonata Software on their new facility. He highlighted the company’s role in building advanced systems using modern technology and noted Hyderabad’s emergence as a key center for Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in software, life sciences, and other sectors.
“Hyderabad is also becoming a hub for AI-ready data centers and manufacturing,” Revanth Reddy said. “Leading IT firms like Microsoft, Cognizant, HCL Tech, Infosys, and Wipro are expanding their presence here.”
Since taking office in December 2023, the Chief Minister said Telangana has attracted investments worth ₹3 lakh crore and created over 1 lakh new private-sector jobs. At the 2025 Davos summit alone, the state secured ₹1.78 lakh crore in investments, putting Telangana at the top nationally in attracting business.
Revanth Reddy highlighted that the government is balancing economic growth with social welfare. “We are supporting farmers, women, youth, students, and senior citizens, while also strengthening industry and the economy,” he said.
He pointed out that Telangana ranks first in areas such as policing, law and order, inflation control, job creation, and tax collection. The government is also empowering 66 lakh women through self-help groups and supporting youth through the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam program.
Among other initiatives, Telangana became the first state to appoint transgender volunteers to the Hyderabad Traffic Police. Projects underway include a dry port, integration with Andhra Pradesh’s seaport, an AI city within the Future City project, sports universities, and residential schools.
The Chief Minister also noted that Hyderabad is hosting the Miss World pageant this year, with plans to bring more global events to the city. “Through the Telangana Rising initiative, we are working toward balanced progress in infrastructure, investment, jobs, and welfare,” he said. “We invite everyone to be brand ambassadors for Hyderabad and help showcase its success to the world.”
