Telangana a model for ‘growth with values’, says Sridhar Babu
HYDERABAD: Telangana has emerged as the “address of growth with values” and is positioning itself as a role model for ethical and sustainable industrial development, Information Technology and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said on Friday.
Speaking at the inaugural session of JITO Connect 2025 at HITEX–HICC, Sridhar Babu urged entrepreneurs to explore Telangana before finalising investments elsewhere. He described the state as one of the most conducive destinations for industrial growth in the country.
The Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO), Hyderabad chapter, is organising the three-day business and entrepreneurship conclave. Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and G Kishan Reddy, along with the state industries minister, jointly inaugurated it.
‘Telangana is building the future’
Highlighting the change in investor outlook, Sridhar Babu noted that ethical, inclusive, and sustainable approaches increasingly guide industrialists today rather than incentives or subsidies. “Telangana is not waiting for the future — it is building the future,” he said, adding that the state offers strong policy support, robust infrastructure and investor-friendly governance.
He said Telangana’s innovation ecosystem, combined with administrative efficiency, was its biggest strength. “He noted that if the Jain community combines the spirit of ‘Seva’ (service), a hallmark of their culture, with Telangana’s innovation ecosystem, they can create a global model of ethical and value-driven growth.”
‘Real unicorns touch lives of a billion people’
Calling for socially meaningful innovation, Sridhar Babu told young entrepreneurs to redefine success.
“The real unicorn is not a company valued at a billion dollars, but one that touches the lives of a billion people,” he remarked.
The event also saw participation from yoga teacher Baba Ramdev, BJP state president Ramchander Rao, and JITO Hyderabad chapter representatives Rohit Kothari, Lalit Chopra, Vishal Anchalia, BL Bhandari and Sushil, among others.
