Hyderabad: The Telangana Excise Department conducted a draw for bar licenses under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits and other districts, selecting 28 applicants through a process officials described as fully transparent and peaceful.

A two-minute silence was observed at the beginning of the event in memory of the victims of the recent Ahmedabad airport air accident. The draw for 24 bar licenses under GHMC limits took place on Friday at The Address Conventions and Exhibition Hall in Golkonda, Narsingi, with 3,525 applications received.

Excise Commissioner C. Hari Kiran personally supervised and conducted the draw in the presence of the applicants. Coins were drawn from a box by the Commissioner and handed over for public announcement by Joint Commissioner (Headquarters) K.A.B. Shastri.

Commissioner Hari Kiran stated that the process was carried out transparently and thanked the applicants and officials for their cooperation. He met each of the selected beneficiaries and asked them to collect their allotment letters, directing that bar operations begin within 90 days.

The Commissioner also appreciated the support of Deputy Commissioners P. Dasharath and K.A.B. Shastri, Assistant Commissioners R. Kishan and Anil Kumar Reddy, and all Excise Supervisors. He also acknowledged Jeevan Kiran’s role in assisting with the draw.

The selected beneficiaries under GHMC limits are Nerusu Harikrishna Prasad, Kodi Lingayya Kodi Lingayya, M. Akash, Almaru Vijayakumar Naidu, Bommu Chandrasekhar Reddy, Putta Venkateswara Rao, S. Praveen Reddy, Akki Madhava Reddy, Keshagoni Ravinder Goud, Geddam Rajesh Kumar, Neilesh Singh, Jaspal Singh Tuteja, Kolan Shalini Reddy, K. Sai Kumar, V. Ravinder Reddy, Rekha Rani, G. Nagaraju, Revella Ravikumar, C. Venkata Manohar Reddy, Gundavaram Rajeswara Rao, Toldi Santosh, M. Venkateswara Rao, and Jinna Dilip Reddy.

Additionally, four applicants were selected from other districts: Shivaprasad from Mahbubnagar, Vikas Goud from Saroor Nagar (Jalpally), Nookala Vishwanath from Nizamabad, and Bhavani Shankarlu from Bodhan.
