CM directs officials to set up vending zones, boost solar power in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD: Telangana officials briefed the chief minister on development proposals for the state’s core urban region on the basis of five focus areas.
CM suggests vending zones, solar power and sanitation upgrades
During the review, the chief minister suggested the creation of special vending zones for street vendors. He also advised strict adherence to fire safety norms in multi-storey buildings.
He directed officials to explore the use of solar power for street lighting and to pilot solar panel installations near newly restored lakes. Roads in the core urban area should be modernised and beautified, he added.
The chief minister called for a dedicated system to maintain public toilets in the region. CM instructed officials to upgrade electricity substations, streamline scattered transformers and relocate them where necessary.
He stressed that they should manage drinking water and sewerage systems separately. He told officials that they must ensure clear coordination among departments for timely approvals.
