Hyderabad: Hours after Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntal Kavitha's allegations against Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and her cousin and former Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao's conspiracy against her, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy dismissed the turmoil as a ‘family feud’. He declared that the ruling Congress party has no interest in getting involved in their ‘internal panchayat' on Wednesday.

Addressing the media, CM Revanth Reddy painted a picture of a party in its death throes, with members turning on each other. "They are fighting amongst themselves, stabbing each other in the belly while embracing. They don't need anyone else, they will finish each other off. The sins they committed will definitely haunt them."

He specifically referred to the BRS's past tactics, stating, "They put our Congress MLAs in jail with false cases and said 'don't let the Congress party survive.' Today, they are killing each other. We are watching what is happening to KCR, who has been in power for ten years."

The Chief Minister was particularly dismissive of allegations that he was conspiring with any faction within the BRS. He refuted claims that he was behind either Kavitha or the Harish Rao-Santosh Kumar group.

"Some are saying Revanth Reddy is behind Harish and Santosh. Others are saying he is behind Kavitha. I am the leader. I will lead from the front, I won’t be backing anyone," he asserted, outright rejecting any association with the beleaguered BRS.

BRS is a "Defunct Note", says CM

In his most scathing remark, the CM compared the BRS to expired currency. "The people of Telangana have already rejected you. That party is like a defunct note. It will vanish into the annals of time," he added.

Earlier, Kavitha claimed the conspiracy against her and her family was hatched during a flight journey between Hyderabad and Delhi involving Harish Rao and the current Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. “When both of you were going from Hyderabad to Delhi, the seeds of conspiracies were planted against me,” she alleged, directly challenging both leaders to deny her claim.
