Telangana Govt approves ticket price hike for Hari Hara Veeramallu film
Hyderabad: The Telangana government has granted permission for an increase in ticket prices for the upcoming film Hari Hara Veeramallu, produced by Mega Surya Production. The approval follows a formal request made on July 19, 2025, and is based on previous government orders issued in December 2021 and March 2022.
According to the government order, theaters across Telangana can charge Rs. 600 plus GST for a single show at 9 PM on July 23, 2025. Between July 24 and July 27, five daily shows will be allowed with an additional charge of Rs. 200 (excluding GST) for multiplexes and Rs. 150 (excluding GST) for single-screen theaters, over the prevailing ticket rates.
From July 28 to August 2, an extra charge of Rs. 150 (excluding GST) for multiplexes and Rs. 106 (excluding GST) for single theaters will be permitted. District Collectors, Joint Collectors, licensing authorities, and police commissioners have been directed to implement the order.
Hari Hara Veeramallu, a period action drama set during the 17th century Mughal era, stars Pawan Kalyan as the titular character, Veera Mallu, an outlaw and warrior fighting for justice. The film, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Jyothi Krishna, features Bobby Deol, Nidhhi Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri, and Nora Fatehi in supporting roles.
Originally scheduled for release on March 28, 2025, the film’s release was delayed due to post-production work and is now set for a worldwide release on July 24, 2025. It will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
The first single from the film, titled “Maata Vinaali” in Telugu and released on January 6, 2025, marks the return of Pawan Kalyan as a playback singer. The song was composed by MM Keeravaani and features lyrics in multiple languages by respective lyricists. The government’s approval of increased ticket rates shows the high expectations surrounding this big-budget release.
