Corruption crackdown: Telangana ACB arrests Amangal mandal officers in bribe trap
Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) nabbed the Tahsildar and Surveyor of Amangal mandal, Ranga Reddy district, while accepting a bribe on Tuesday.
The accused officers were identified as Chintakindi Lalitha, Tahsildar, Amangal Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, and Kota Ravi, Mandal Surveyor, Amangal Mandal, Ranga Reddy District.
According to the ACB, Ch Lalitha, Tahsildar, and Kota Ravi were caught by Telangana ACB, City Range -2 Unit as they had demanded Rs 50,000 each from the complainant for showing official favour ‘as a reward for completing the land registration and as an undue advantage to facilitate typographical corrections in the land records pertaining to the complainant's grandmother.' The tainted tahsildar had already accepted Rs 50,000 from the complainant for starting the process. The accused officers thereby performed their public duty improperly and dishonestly. Further, the case is under investigation.
