Techie from Telangana adopts Jaguar for husband’s birthday at Hyderabad Zoo

Hyderabad: Pranavisahithi, a software professional from Bhadradri Kothagudem, Telangana, has adopted a jaguar at Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, for a period of one month. This special adoption started today and was presented as a birthday gift to her husband, B. Krishna Kanth, on his 33rd birthday.

The adoption fee of Rs. 10,000 was paid through an online transaction. Pranavisahithi recently came across the animal adoption scheme offered by the Nehru Zoological Park through media reports. After discussing the options with the zoo staff, she decided to gift an animal adoption certificate to her husband as a unique present.

Speaking about the experience, Pranavisahithi said that the zoo offers multiple flexible options for adoption, ranging from one month up to a year. This allows adopters like her to select an animal of their choice within their budget. She added that feeding and supporting wild animals through this program is a rewarding opportunity and expressed her thanks to the zoo management for making this possible.

The Nehru Zoological Park’s adoption scheme encourages public participation in wildlife conservation and offers an innovative way for people to connect with animals while supporting their care.
