BRS MLA Talasani slams political vendetta behind Janwada farmhouse raid
Hyderabad: Former Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi(BRS) legislator from Sanath Nagar Talasani Srinivas Yadav slams political witch-hunt and personal vendetta against BRS working president K. Taraka Rama Rao(KTR) in connection with the Janwada farmhouse raid on Sunday.
Briefing the media on the Janwada farmhouse case, Yadav said, “Excise and SOT police have clearly informed and even panchanama also states no drugs seized from the premises and only liquor was found in excess. The case involves a permit violation, not drugs. As it is a violation police booked a case.”
Yadav questioned the reason behind the search on KTR’s residence. He said, “Is it right to target a particular person and his family? We will fight the case in court. Where is Janwada farmhouse and KTR’s gated community residence? Police usually search the particular location where the raid happened. Why did they want to search KTR’s house?”
Emphasizing that the personal vendetta is bad for democracy, “Why are they targeting the family, which is wrong in democracy. Exacerbating issue as something more happened is not right. We’re fighting for the people’s cause and questioning them regarding the election assurances.
Political witch hunt is not good for Democracy: Yadav
“We might have political differences so we will fight it out in the public arena but political witch hunt against a particular individual and his family is wrong. We will fight it out in court as law-abiding citizens,” added Yadav. He alleges that there is a big conspiracy behind the raid.
BRS maintains their stand on addressing public issues. “We will concentrate on the people.” Yadav suggest present government to refrain from political witch hunts as it is not good for democracy and people are witnessing the act of police and the government.
