Actress Tabu reveals her secret life as real estate investor in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Popular actress Tabu, known for her roles in films like Coolie No. 1 and Ninne Pelladata, has recently made headlines for her unexpected revelation about her significant real estate investments in Hyderabad. In a viral interview with digital creator Devnag (@letstalkwithdevnag), Tabu discussed her hidden journey as a landlord and investor.

During the interview, the host mentioned her commercial complex and bungalow in Hyderabad, to which Tabu responded with laughter, saying, “I’m coming from my aunt, and I’m sure this insight will show that people see me as an artist, but I’m also a real estate investor.” She humorously noted, “It’s the hidden journey of my life, collecting rent from everyone.”

Tabu traced her real estate investments back to advice from her first film director, K. Raghavendra Rao, who encouraged her to invest wisely at the start of her career. She recalled, “He told me to promise him that I’d do films for creative satisfaction but also to buy a plot here and make a home.” Taking his advice to heart, she invested in land and eventually commercial spaces.

The actress has a lavish bungalow located in the upscale Jubilee Hills neighbourhood of Hyderabad, which she bought in the 2000s.

In addition to her real estate ventures, Tabu is currently set to appear in the Dune franchise prequel series, Dune: Prophecy. The first look of her character has generated excitement among her fans in India.

Earlier this year, Tabu starred alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon in the successful female-led heist comedy Crew, where they trained with former cabin crew members for their roles. Later, she reunited with Ajay Devgn for their tenth collaboration in Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, although the film received criticism and failed at the box office.

Tabu, born on November 4, 1971, in Hyderabad, comes from a family with deep educational roots. Her father was a Pakistani actor who relocated to India, and her mother was a schoolteacher. Tabu attended St. Ann's High School in Hyderabad before moving to Mumbai for her college education at St. Xavier's College.
