Jubilee Hills: Sunny Leone’s fans heartbroken as DJ event gets cancelled last minute
Hyderabad: Bollywood actor Sunny Leone’s much-anticipated DJ event has been called off following police intervention on Saturday night.
The event was scheduled to be held from 11 pm to 12.30 am at illuzion Club & Kitchen, Jubilee Hills Road No. 10. The organizers had gone ahead with the planning of a live DJ performance by Sunny Leone despite not getting permission from the Jubilee Hills police.
Tickets for the electrifying night were sold to nearly 500 attendees through BookMyShow. The organizers called off the event after the Jubilee Hills police denied permission for the event, citing procedural lapses.
Attendees who had purchased tickets through the online ticketing platform began gathering at the venue from 8 pm, unaware of the developing situation. They were taken aback upon seeing a significant police presence which was deployed outside the pub to prevent the program from proceeding.
Eventually, the organizers released a video statement at the last minute to announce the cancellation of the live DJ event claiming Sunny Leone’s ill health. Disgruntled music aficionados expressed their anger as they had spent significant amounts on tickets and time for the show.
To prevent any disturbance and ensure compliance, around 100 police personnel remained stationed near the venue until 1 am, confirming that the event was indeed cancelled. The situation eventually de-escalated, and police vacated the area.
