South Central Railway to operate special Holi trains between Kacheguda and Madar
Hyderabad: In light of the anticipated increase in passenger traffic during the Holi festival season, South Central Railway has announced special trains between Kacheguda and Madar. These trains are intended to accommodate the extra rush during the Holi festival period.
The special train service 07701 will depart from Kacheguda at 23:30 and arrive in Madar at 12:50 the following day. This train will operate on the 11 and 16 of March 2025. On the return journey, Train 07702 will depart from Madar at 16:05 and reach Kacheguda at 04:00 the next day. This service will run on the 13 and 18 of March 2025.
The special trains will make several stops along the route, including Malkajgiri, Medchal, Kamareddi, Nizamabad, Basar, Dharmabad, Mudkhed, Nanded, Purna, Basmat, Hingoli, Washim, Akola, Shegaon, Malkapur, Barhanpur, Khandwa, Rani Kamalpati, Sehore, Ujjain, Ratlam, Jaora, Mandsor, Nimach, Chittaurgarh, Bhilwara, Bijainagar, Nasirabad, and Ajmer. These stops will be made in both directions.
In addition to the Holi special trains, South Central Railway will run 20 special trains between Charlapalli and Kakinada Town, and Charlapalli and Narsapur, to ease the extra passenger rush during weekends. These services will operate on select dates in March 2025.
The Charlapalli–Kakinada Town–Charlapalli special trains (Train No. 07031/07032) will depart from Charlapalli at 19:20 on Fridays, reaching Kakinada Town at 04:30 the following day. The return journey from Kakinada Town will depart at 18:55 on Sundays and arrive back at Charlapalli at 06:50 on Mondays. These trains will operate on March 7, 13, 21, and 28.
Similarly, the Charlapalli–Narsapur–Charlapalli special trains (Train No. 07233/07234) will depart from Charlapalli at 20:15 on Fridays, reaching Narsapur at 05:50 the following day. The return journey from Narsapur will leave at 20:00 on Sundays and arrive back at Charlapalli at 06:00 on Mondays. These services will also operate on March 7, 13, 21, and 28.
For passengers traveling on the Charlapalli–Kakinada Town–Charlapalli route, the special trains will stop at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, and Samalkot stations in both directions.
On the Charlapalli–Narsapur–Charlapalli route, the trains will stop at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Nadikude, Piduguralla, Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijayawada, Gudivada, Kaikaluru, Akividu, Bhimavaram Town, Viravasaram, and Palakollu stations in both directions.
These special trains will offer a variety of coach types, including 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper, and General Second Class, ensuring comfortable travel options for passengers during the busy weekend period.
