According to police, the victim lodged a complaint on November 23, 2017, stating that Bhoi had been in a relationship with her since 2009 and exploited her emotionally and physically on the false promise of marriage. They lived together in Noida, Chennai and Hyderabad, during which she was repeatedly subjected to sexual exploitation.
