Skeleton found in abandoned house after seven years in Hyderabad’s Nampally
Hyderabad: A human skeleton was discovered in a locked, abandoned house in the Nampally Market area of Hyderabad on Monday, July 14, 2025. The incident has sparked an investigation by the Habeebnagar Police Station.
It was learnt that the local residents reported a foul odor emanating from the house, which had been uninhabited for the past seven years. The owner is believed to be living abroad. Upon receiving the alert, the police arrived at the location, forcibly opened the door, and found the skeletal remains inside.
The police have not yet identified the remains, and it is unclear whether they belong to a man or a woman. A team from the CLUES (Crime Scene Investigation) unit collected evidence from the scene.
South Western Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Chandramohan visited the location to review the situation and gather information from the investigating officers. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are yet to determine whether the remains will be sent for autopsy or preserved.
