33-year-old man ends life in Shamshabad after struggling to find marriage match
Hyderabad: A 33-year-old man allegedly took his own life in Shamshabad after facing difficulties in securing a marriage proposal. The incident was reported on May 21, 2025, when the victim’s father filed a case with the Shamshabad police.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), Palamuru Balraj Goud, a 60-year-old businessman from Pedda Tupra village in Shamshabad Mandal, stated that his son, Palamuru Praveen Goud, was employed as a manager at Bajaj Finance in Shadnagar. For the past 15 days, Praveen had been living alone in a rented house while his father visited his elder daughter’s home in Alwal.
On the night of May 20, 2025, Balraj Goud attempted several times to contact his son by phone but received no answer. Concerned, he visited Praveen’s rented house early the next morning, where he found his son’s body hanging from a ceiling fan, using a bed sheet.
In his statement, Balraj Goud mentioned that despite searching for marriage proposals for his son, none were finalized, which had reportedly caused distress to Praveen. Balraj also stated that he did not suspect anyone else in connection with his son’s death. Shamshabad police have registered a case under Section 194 BNSS, and investigations are ongoing.
