Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner C. V. Anand conducted an Executive Court at the Police Commissionerate, TGICCC, Banjara Hills, on wednesday. The session addressed disputes among rowdy sheeters and gangs operating in the South, South East and South West zones of the city. Reports from police stations revealed that the gangs had been involved in mutual attacks, murders and attempted murders.

A total of 101 members from 11 gangs across 10 police stations were interrogated separately. Six gangs stated they had resolved their disputes in the presence of elders and family members. The remaining groups denied involvement in crimes and assured they would maintain peace in future.

Warning of strict legal action


C. V. Anand warned that strict legal action would be taken against anyone disturbing peace and order in Hyderabad. He added that under Section 126 of the BNSS, 2023, bonds would be taken from those considered likely to cause disturbances. The proceedings were adjourned for a later date.
