Secunderabad Cantonment Board residents seek alternative-day drinking water supply
Secunderabad: Residents of Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) Ward-5 are facing an ongoing issue of inadequate drinking water supply, as water is being provided only once every three to four days. In response to this, they are urging the authorities to implement an alternative-day water supply system similar to what is provided in other wards.
Speaking with the Hyderabad Mail, Telukunta Satish Gupta, a social worker from the area, said, "Today, a representation was submitted to the SCB Water Department Superintendent, Raj Kumar, requesting an alternative-day drinking water supply for the colonies in Ward-5. This comes as other wards are receiving such supplies while Ward 5 has been left out. We extend our gratitude to Raj Kumar for his positive response to our request."
Telukunta Satish Gupta highlighted the challenges faced by the residents due to water scarcity. "Currently, we are receiving water only once every 3 to 4 days, while other wards benefit from an alternative-day water supply. This disparity has caused significant inconvenience and hardship for the residents of Ward-5," he added.
He urged the authorities to urgently address the issue and ensure that Ward-5 receives an alternative-day water supply. "We kindly request the authorities to look into this matter promptly and take action for the betterment of the community," Satish said, expressing hope for a positive resolution.
