10-year-old boy dies after being run over by school bus in Jagathgirigutta

Hyderabad: A 10-year-old boy died in a tragic road accident on Saturday morning, June 21, 2025, in Allwyn Colony under Jagathgirigutta Police Station limits in Medchal district.

The boy has been identified as Jayashith Chauhan, was riding his bicycle near his home when he reportedly lost balance and fell onto the road. At that moment, a school bus arriving to pick up students in the area ran over him. He sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital by his parents. Doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Police have taken the bus driver into custody and registered a case. The child’s body has been shifted for a postmortem examination. CCTV footage from the area reportedly captured the incident, which is now part of the ongoing investigation.

Tire blowout causes fatal crash on Outer Ring Road

In a separate incident, one person died and another was injured in a road accident on the Outer Ring Road under Ghatkesar Police Station limits in Medchal district.

A Bolero vehicle traveling from Gandipet to LB Nagar suffered a rear tire blowout, hit a divider, and overturned. One passenger, identified as Ravi from Odisha, died in the accident. Another occupant sustained serious injuries and was taken to Gandhi Hospital for treatment. Police responded to the scene, registered a case, and are investigating the cause of the crash.
