Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, visited the site of the industrial tragedy in Pashamylaram, Sangareddy district, where 36 people lost their lives. Accompanied by Ministers D. Sridhar Babu and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, the Chief Minister reviewed rescue operations and met with officials for a detailed briefing.

Speaking at the site, the Chief Minister announced ₹1 crore ex-gratia to the families of each deceased worker. He also directed officials to immediately provide ₹1 lakh as interim relief to the families and ₹50,000 to those injured.

For critically injured persons, the state will extend ₹10 lakh each, while those with partial injuries will receive ₹5 lakh. The Chief Minister assured that the government will bear the full cost of medical treatment for the injured. He instructed officials to ensure children from affected families are enrolled in government residential schools and receive full support for their education.

Calling the incident one of the most serious industrial accidents in the state's history, the Chief Minister ordered a full inspection of chemical industries across Telangana to identify safety lapses. A special officer will be appointed to coordinate rescue and relief operations, and a detailed report on the incident is to be submitted by officials in consultation with safety experts.

The Chief Minister also directed that the mortal remains of the deceased be identified and handed over to families without delay. “The government will take all necessary steps to ensure accountability and prevent such tragedies in the future,” he said.

Rescue and identification efforts are still ongoing. Of the 143 people present at the site during the incident, 58 have been identified so far.
