Actor Sai Dharam Tej says helmet saved his life

HYDERABAD: Tollywood actor Sai Dharam Tej shared his personal experience of surviving a near-fatal bike accident while addressing the Hyderabad City Security Council (HCSC) Summit 2025. He credited his helmet with saving his life and appealed to two-wheeler riders to never compromise on safety.

Spoke about recovery journey

Recounting his long recovery, Tej said he had lost his voice, balance, and confidence after the crash, but regained them with resilience. “Please wear helmets, follow traffic rules, and value life. It’s not just about you—it’s about everyone waiting for you at home,” he told the gathering.

Warned against reckless driving

The actor urged youngsters to avoid rash driving, stunts, or skipping signals. Stressing that “responsibility is real style,” he underlined that safety safeguards not only the rider but also their family.

Praised traffic police, HCSC marshals

Tej also appreciated the Hyderabad Traffic Police and HCSC marshals for their commitment to public safety under harsh conditions, calling them “unsung heroes” who deserve gratitude.
