RPF personnel’s quick action saves passenger’s life at Lingampalli railway station
Hyderabad: A constable from the railway police force (RPF) Vishwajeet Kumar and Head Constable P Rajeshekar saved a woman passenger from coming under the wheels of a train in Hyderabad. The incident occurred at Lingampalli railway station on Sunday.
CCTV footage shows HYB-Purna Express (Train No. 17647) made a two-minute halt at 9.28 am on October 13 at the railway station. A woman passenger while trying to board the moving train, slipped, and got trapped between the coach and the platform.
The RPF personnel posted at Lingampalli railway station rushed to the woman and saved the passenger. It is reported the passenger and the Constable Vishwajeet Kumar received bruises as they were dragged for a little distance by the moving train.
Even though the incident happened yesterday, the video showing the bravery and swift reaction of RPF personnel is now going viral on social media. Senior Divisional Security Commissioner, Secunderabad, Debashmita Chattopadhyay Banerjee congratulated the RPF personnel and requested the passengers to avoid boarding/alighting a moving train.
