Lorry overturns on Narsingi Outer Ring Road, causing traffic jam
Narsingi: A huge traffic jam was reported today on the Narsingi Outer Ring Road after a robo sand-laden lorry overturned due to excessive speed and overloading. The incident occurred on November 8, 2024, early in the morning, disrupting traffic flow for hours. However, the driver of the lorry escaped with only minor injuries as the vehicle fell across the road.
According to reports, the lorry lost control due to both the high speed and the excessive weight of the sand it was carrying. Authorities have confirmed that the driver's negligence was a contributing factor to the accident.
Traffic personnel responded quickly to the scene, working alongside heavy cranes to move the overturned vehicle and clear the road. Despite their efforts, traffic movement was slow for several hours, particularly on the stretch of ORR at the Narsingi bridge heading toward Gachibowli.
Cyberabad Traffic Police provided updates on the situation via ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter), urging commuters to be patient. Their post read, “Traffic update 08.11.2024, 06:50 hrs: Traffic movement is slow on ORR at Narsingi bridge towards Gachibowli due to an accident.
