Hyderabad: Posters are a powerful way to raise awareness about road safety. With a mix of visuals and short messages, they quickly grab attention and leave a lasting impression. A well-placed poster can remind people to wear helmets, follow speed limits, or avoid using mobile phones while driving all in a single glance.
Unlike long announcements or lectures, posters communicate directly and simply. When displayed at traffic signals, schools, public places, or community events, they reach a wide range of people.
In a country where road accidents are frequent, even small efforts like posters can make a difference. They serve as everyday reminders to drive responsibly and follow rules helping save lives, one message at a time.
Amid this, a Road Safety Expo will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025, to raise awareness about traffic rules and safe driving practices.
As part of the event, Top Drivers and HYD Road Safety Volunteers are organising a poster-making competition with the theme “Road Safety.” The contest will take place from 10 AM to 2 PM at Our Sacred Space Auditorium, beside Sangeet Petrol Pump in Secunderabad.
Participation is free, and no entry fee is required. A cash prize of ₹3,000 will be awarded to the winner.
Top Drivers India, in a post on social media, said: “Most drivers know only 5 to 10 road rules. That’s one of the reasons we have so many accidents. Drop by this Sunday to learn tips and tricks to stay safe — through our colourful posters. Bring your family, bring your kids. Entry is free. Make a poster and bring it to enter for ₹3,000 cash prize.”

Earlier, Hyderabad road safety volunteers came together to conduct a campaign promoting the use of mirrors and indicators while driving. The event, held near Cyber Towers in Madhapur, focused on the Mirror-Signal-Manoeuvre/Movement (MSM) rule, which was highlighted as crucial for road safety.
