The Chief Minister's key proposals included the Regional Ring Rail, Phase-II expansion of the Hyderabad Metro, the Kazipet Coach Factory, the Vikarabad-Karnataka Railway Line, and the construction of a dedicated greenfield highway from Bandar Port with an accompanying railway line. Revanth Reddy said that these projects would boost regional industrial growth and connectivity.
The Chief Minister also thanked the Prime Minister for completing the Cherlapally Railway Terminal, a project that had been delayed for years. He urged the early establishment of the Kazipet Coach Factory, as promised earlier, and stressed the need for a dedicated railway line to improve transportation, particularly for Telanganaβs pharmaceutical industry, which contributes 35% of Indiaβs pharmaceutical production.
The Telangana CM pointed out that the state, which ranks second in the country for metro rail development, has seen no progress in this sector in the last decade. As a result, the state slipped from second to ninth in metro rail rankings. He called for the approval of Metro Phase-II proposals, which would further develop Hyderabad city.
He also mentioned that the tender process for the 370-km Regional Ring Road around Hyderabad is underway. βThe construction of the Regional Ring Road will lead to urbanization, which will greatly contribute to investment and the development of industries,β he said.
The Vikarabad to Karnataka railway line, which would link Telangana with Karnataka via Kodangal, is also pending approval. Revanth Reddy appealed for the central governmentβs cooperation on these important projects.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Union Ministers Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, State Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu, Malkajgiri MP Etela Rajender, and other representatives participated in the event.
