The proposed flyover aimed to reduce congestion at one of the city's worst bottlenecks. It will create a multi-level traffic flow system. The blueprint shows a two-level structure. The first level will help people move between Mehdipatnam and Toli Chowki. The second level will link Langar Houz and Mehdipatnam.

This strategic design is expected to significantly improve travel time and streamline vehicular movement for thousands of commuters daily, benefiting those travelling to and from the western parts of the city and the Old City.

Taking to X (Twitter), Kausar Mohiuddin, Karwan MLA said, “The project gained momentum after successful representation by AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP, Asaduddin Owaisi. The issue was further amplified within the state legislature by AIMIM Floor Leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, who raised the matter in the Telangana Legislative Assembly, ensuring government attention towards resolving the long-pending traffic congestion at the key intersection."

According to an official notification, the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the large-scale infrastructure project has been invited under National Competitive Bidding. Potential contractors have until 22 September 2025 to submit their bids, with the project award date slated for 24 September 2025.

Further, Karwan MLA added that AIMIM remains committed to strengthening Hyderabad’s infrastructure and providing lasting solutions for the public.
