Kapra area residents seek GHMC's action on road conditions
Hyderabad: Residents of Vampuguda and Kapra have called on the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to address the deteriorating condition of roads between the Kapra MRO office stretch and the Sainikpuri petrol bunk. The road, known for its uneven surface and potholes, has become a safety hazard for commuters.
Local resident Mannila Kiran (@MannilaK) made the request on social media, tagging the GHMC Commissioner, the official GHMC handle, and Telangana CM Revanth Reddy. In his post, Kiran wrote, “Respected @CommissionrGHMC, Since a long time, I have been requesting to fix the roads from Vampuguda, Kapra MRO office stretch till Sainikpuri Petrol bunk. Kindly do the needful @GHMCOnline @revanth_anumula.”
In response, GHMC’s official social media handle acknowledged the issue and stated, “Dear Citizen, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have forwarded your request regarding the road repairs to the concerned team, and necessary action will be taken as soon as possible. @EE_Kapra @AE_Ward01 @DC1_Kapra.”
An official from GHMC (@aeward01kapra) further clarified that the stretch from Vampuguda to Sainikpuri petrol bunk is part of the CRMP Phase-II project, with approval pending. The official assured that work would begin after the project was approved.
While residents appreciated the clarification, they requested that at least patchwork be carried out in the meantime to ensure safer travel.
