Hyderabad: The days are expected to get hotter over the next few days as the India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad (IMD-H) Hyderabad has issued a yellow alert as the daytime temperatures rise consistently across the state.

The temperature will likely touch 40 degree Celsius in Hyderabad till Tuesday, March 18. Several areas such as Charminar, LB Nagar, Secunderabad, Khairatabad and Kukatpally will likely experience an increase in the daytime temperature over the next few days.

Several districts in Telangana will see a rise in daytime temperature on Saturday. Residents of Adilabad, Jagtial, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, and Mancherial districts will likely experience an increase in daytime temperatures today.

Similarly, other regions Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Jogulamba Gadwal, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Mulugu, Nagar Kurnool, Nalgonda, Narayanpet, Nizamabad, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Suryapet, Vikarabad, Wanaparthy, Warangal, and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri will also experience intense heat conditions.

According to the IMD’s special bulletin, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Rangareddy will experience temperatures ranging between 36 and 40 degree Celsius.

The weather forecast predicts heat wave-like conditions for the next few days as the temperatures will fluctuate between 40 and 44 degree Celsius.

Meanwhile, there is a sign of respite from intense heat conditions in Hyderabad and other regions of Telangana. According to weatherman from Hyderabad, T Balaji, the people in the state capital and other parts can expect a reprieve from the sweltering heat in the form of summer thundershowers.

“The sufferings from heatwave to continue till March 19. During March 20-24 a super respite from heat ahead with strong unseasonal thunderstorms ahead in TG, will keep updating about it. As of now, suffer from heat, and farmers, stay cautions after March 20,” Balaji tweeted.

Amid the prevailing heat wave-like conditions in the state, the IMD has asked the people to take necessary precautions to avoid sun exposure as much as possible as heat wave could lead to moderate to severe health concerns. Citizens were advised to stay indoors during peak afternoon hours, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
