Hyderabad: Residents of Red Hills have raised safety concerns after streetlights near Gowtham Model School on Fapcci Marg Road stopped functioning, leaving the area dark at night.

The issue was highlighted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by a user under the handle Mayor of Human Rights (@abid11238504), who tagged officials and wrote, “@GHMCOnline @CommissionrGHMC Sir, streetlight not working near door nos. 11-5-491 to 494, behind Hyder Medical Centre, near Gowtham Model School, Fapcci Marg Road, Red Hills. Area is dark and unsafe at night. Kindly fix the issue immediately. #Hyderabad #GHMC cc @CollectorHYD.”

In response, the official handle of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) replied, “Dear Citizen, We regret the inconvenience caused. The Electrical Team has been notified and will work to resolve the issue at the earliest. @KiranmayeeSari1 @DC17Khairatabad.”
