Hyderabad: A case has been filed at the Banjara Hills Police Station after a Rapido driver allegedly stole five designer sarees worth Rs. 1.15 lakhs on May 17, 2025.

According to the First Information Report (FIR), Manoj Paswan, a 50-year-old helper at Radhika Attire shop in Secunderabad, lodged the complaint. Manoj Paswan stated that at around 10:11 AM on the day of the incident, Ashish Agarwal, the owner of Radhika Attire, booked a Rapido bike from West Maredpally to their shop at Road No. 4, Banjara Hills.

Manoj Paswan, carrying five designer sarees, rode with the Rapido driver on bike number TS15FF8696 to their shop. When they reached the shop around 10:33 AM, Manoj paid the driver Rs. 82 in cash. But as he was getting off the bike, the driver quickly drove away with the sarees. Manoj tried to chase him and call him, but the driver’s phone was off.

Manoj Paswan described the suspect as being between 30 and 35 years old, wearing blue jeans. He mentioned he would be able to recognize the driver if he saw him again. A case has been registered under Section 318(4) BNS, and the investigation has been handed over to Sub Inspector K. Ramesh.
