Traffic chaos at Ranigunj Junction due to lack of cops & encroachments
Secunderabad: Residents of Secunderabad and daily commuters are facing severe traffic congestion at Ranigunj Junction, with many attributing the gridlocks to the absence of traffic police, encroachments, and improper parking. This has led to prolonged waits and frustrating delays, especially during peak hours.
The issue was highlighted by a commuter, Rusty, on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), who posted, “Ranigunj daily traffic issue due to no traffic cop, encroachment, and wrong parking, leading to long waits and gridlocks at Golden Hotel Junction.” Rusty tagged the Hyderabad Traffic Police in his post, urging them to address the matter.
Speaking with the Hyderabad Mail, Rusty, who wishes to remain anonymous and is a regular traveler on this route, expressed his concern over the lack of traffic management. “I travel daily on this route, and I’ve noticed the absence of any traffic police to guide commuters and help alleviate peak-hour congestion. On top of that, encroachments and improper parking exacerbate the traffic jams, creating a daily gridlock at the Ranigunj junction,” he said.
Rusty also highlighted the need for action, stating, “Authorities should consider the concerns of commuters and make this a priority. If traffic police were deployed to assist during peak hours, it would significantly reduce the congestion. Strict action against illegal parking and encroachments would greatly benefit everyone.”
Commuters hope that the authorities' intervention will improve traffic flow at the Ranigunj junction, easing many of the daily travel challenges many face.
