Hyderabad: Actor Ram Charan’s 40th birthday became even more special with the unveiling of the first look of his upcoming film, Peddi.
The title of the film, Peddi, was revealed by the makers to mark the occasion of actor Ram Charan's birthday. In the first-look poster, the RRR actor sports a rugged, intense avatar with piercing eyes, messy hair, and an untamed beard, igniting excitement among fans.
The film, RC16, is set in rural Andhra Pradesh in the 1980s, where a spirited villager unites his community through sports to defend their pride against a formidable rival. The film is written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, with music composed by A.R. Rahman.
Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor lead the cast, alongside Dayanand Reddy in a supporting role. Fans and celebrities have expressed excitement, with actor Varun Konidela and others wishing Charan a happy birthday and praising the film's rough and rugged look.
Ram Charan, born on March 27, 1985, is one of the highest-paid actors in Indian cinema, best known for his work in Telugu films.
