Raidurgam police apprehend 40 bikers for racing at T-Hub
Raidurgam: The Raidurgam Police of the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate on October 26, 2024, has registered five cases against 40 bike racers and seized their motorcycles following reports of reckless racing and public disturbance near T-Hub, Knowledge City in Serilingampally Mandal, Ranga Reddy District.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Madhapur Zone stated that credible information was received on the night of October 25-26 around 11:00 p.m., indicating that young individuals were engaging in illegal bike racing near T-Hub, Knowledge City, Gachibowli, Serilingampally, creating noise disturbances and obstructing public passage.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found several individuals performing stunts and racing on public roads, endangering both themselves and the general public near T-Hub. The racers attempted to flee upon noticing the police but were apprehended, leading to the seizure of 40 motorcycles.
DCP Madhapur noted, “Given the gravity of the situation, immediate action was taken. Cases have been registered against all 40 bikers, and their vehicles will be handed over to the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) for further action under the Motor Vehicle Act.”
The DCP also appealed to parents, urging them to monitor their children's activities. “There is a significant risk of accidents and threats to their safety. Bike racing is prohibited in any form, and violations will result in legal consequences, including potential imprisonment,” he warned.
