Rachakonda Police invite applications for Deepavali firecracker licences
HYDERABAD: Individuals and traders intending to sell or possess firecrackers on a temporary basis within the jurisdiction of Rachakonda Police must obtain a licence under the Explosives Act, 1884, and the Explosives Rules, 1983 (as amended in 2008). Applications will be accepted manually between October 9 and 19, 2025. Forms submitted after this period will not be considered.
Documents required for firecracker licence
Applicants are required to submit the following along with Form AE5:
NOC from the Divisional Fire Officer
Land permission from GHMC (for government land)
NOC or agreement from the private landowner (for private land)
Copy of last year’s licence (optional)
NOC from neighbours if the shop is in a single pucca structure
Blueprint of the shop site plan
Original challan of ₹600 paid at SBI Medchal–Malkajgiri Collectorate Office Branch, Anthaipally village, under the following head of accounts:

Strict compliance with safety norms
The police have warned that any violation of the licensing rules or possession and sale of explosives without authorisation will invite penal action under the relevant provisions of the Act and Rules.
Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, has requested the Information and Public Relations Department to publish the notification in local newspapers and broadcast it through All India Radio for public awareness.
