Hyderabad: The Commissioner of Rachakonda Police has issued an order suspending the sale of liquor at all liquor shops, restaurants, hotels, clubs, and other establishments within the Bhongir Zone jurisdiction from 4:00 p.m. on February 25 to 4:00 p.m. on February 27. This move comes ahead of the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Teacher MLC elections scheduled for February 27.

The order, issued under Section 20 of the Telangana Excise Act, 1968, mandates a complete ban on the sale or service of liquor during this period, even for establishments holding regular liquor licenses.

Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu has warned that legal action will be taken against those found violating the orders. Authorities have been instructed to maintain strict vigilance to ensure public peace and prevent any disturbances.
