Hyderabad: One injured as car turns turtle on PVNR Expressway

Hyderabad: One person sustained injuries after a car overturned following a horrific road accident on the PVNR Expressway in Hyderabad on Monday, leading to temporary traffic diversions.

As per available information, the accident occurred when a high-speed car hit the other vehicle from behind, and due to the impact one of the vehicles overturned, leaving its driver seriously injured. Both vehicles were on their way to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The collision of two vehicles briefly disrupted the traffic on the expressway.

After receiving an alert, local police teams quickly responded to the scene and shifted the injured driver to a hospital for treatment. The officials quickly cleared the wreckage from the expressway and restored the traffic flow between Mehdipatnam and Aramghar X Roads. A case has been registered and investigation is on.

In March, a moving car accidentally caught fire on the same expressway and its driver escaped unhurt. The incident occurred near number 211 on March 4, 2025. The driver quickly pulled over to the car to one side of the carriageway after he saw smoke emanating from the bonnet.
