Tollywood Roundup: Theatre and OTT Releases This Week
HYDERABAD: Actor Pawan Kalyan will be seen in the lead role in OG, a pan-India film directed by Sujeeth. DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari have produced the movie, with Priyanka Mohan as the female lead and Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist.
Special premieres cleared in Telugu states for OG
The producers scheduled the gangster drama for theatrical release on September 25. The Telugu state governments granted permission for special premieres for fans. Music composer Thaman scored the background music, which is expected to be a key highlight.
Meanwhile, India’s official entry to the 98th Academy Awards in the Best International Feature category is Homebound, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan. The film, starring Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa, portrays the struggle of two friends battling caste and religious discrimination while pursuing their dream of becoming police officers. It will release on September 26.
Malayalam actor Mohanlal stars in Hridayapoorvam, a romantic comedy-drama directed by Sathyan Anthikad. The film will stream on Jio Hotstar from September 26. Malavika Mohanan and Premalu fame Sangeet Pratap play key roles.
In Telugu, Nara Rohit’s romantic comedy Sundarakanda will stream on Jio Hotstar from September 23. Actresses Sridevi Vijaykumar and Vrutti Vaghani play the female leads.
