Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan hails OG team at Hyderabad event

HYDERABAD: Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan said he never expected to love his latest film OG so much. The film, directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari, features Priyanka Mohan as the female lead and Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist. The movie will release in theatres on September 25.

Speaking at the OG concert in Hyderabad on Sunday, Pawan Kalyan said, “Sujeeth speaks less, but when he makes a film, it is not ordinary. He deserves most of the credit for this movie. Thaman brought Sujeeth’s vision to life on screen. Both of them were on a trip and they pulled me into it. While working on this film, I even forgot I was a deputy chief minister. If a deputy chief minister comes with a sword, will anyone remain silent? I practised this role during Khushi. Sujeeth built the story around it in a way that entertains. Priyanka Arul Mohan has a good love story in this.”

He added, “Even after I entered politics, you did not leave me. If I am fighting today, it is only because of you. When I am making a film, I think of nothing else. Sujeeth even taught me Japanese. If I had such a team when I made Johnny, I would not have entered politics. Telugu people mean thunder in the sky. We are overcoming everything to come before audiences on September 25. Shriya Reddy and Emraan Hashmi acted brilliantly. If there is a chance in future, I will act with Shriya Reddy again.”

Despite heavy rain around LB Stadium, Pawan Kalyan and the entire film team addressed fans from the stage. “Did rain ever stop us? Did defeat ever stop us? Rain cannot stop us either,” he told cheering fans.
