Partial water supply disruption in Hyderabad on March 8
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has announced a temporary water supply disruption in several parts of the city on March 8, 2025.
According to a press release, the disruption is due to the shifting of an existing PSC water supply pipeline near BHEL Junction, as part of the ongoing construction of a flyover by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).
The affected areas include Erragadda, SR Nagar, Ameerpet, KPHB Colony, Kukatpally, Moosapet, Jagadgirigutta, RC Puram, Ashok Nagar, Jyoti Nagar, Lingampalli, Chandanagar, Gangaram, Madinaguda, Miyapur, Deepthi Sri Nagar, Beeramguda, Aminpur, and Nizampet.
Residents in these areas are advised to use water sparingly during the disruption. For more information, HMWSSB can be contacted at 155313 or 040-23300114, or through its social media platforms.
This disruption follows a recent 24-hour water supply cutoff on February 17, due to maintenance work at the Kondapaka Pumping Station. HMWSSB is responsible for the management of water supply and sewerage services across Hyderabad.
