PARAKH 2024: Hyderabad schools to conduct NCERT-led edu survey tomorrow
Hyderabad: City-based schools are gearing up for the PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024, an all-India survey to evaluate the effectiveness of the country’s school education system, to be held on December 4, Wednesday.
This massive survey will evaluate competency-based learning and is also aimed at in-depth assessment of India's educational progress and is aligned with the objectives outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The nationwide assessment is being conducted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). Selected government and private institutions in India are participating in it. Instructions have been given to the principals of selected schools regarding the survey.
The survey will have participants from classes 3, 6, and 9 in each selected school. It will assess the learning outcomes of students in subjects like language, mathematics, science, and social studies. A team consisting of an observer and a field investigator will monitor the assessment process.
