Launching the Seemanchal Nyay Yatra from Kishanganj, Owaisi said, “We are prepared for an alliance with RJD and the INDIA bloc. We are only asking for six seats. If Tejashwi Yadav refuses, people will understand who is helping the BJP.”

The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) had contested 19 seats in the 2020 assembly elections and won five, all from the Seemanchal region. Owaisi’s renewed demand comes ahead of the 2025 Bihar assembly polls, where opposition unity against the BJP is being tested.
