Operation Muskan-XI: 238 children rescued by Cyberabad Police, July 6–11
Hyderabad: The Women and Child Safety Wing, Cyberabad, comprising SHE Teams, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), Bharosa, and the Women Police Station, carried out several operations and awareness programs from July 6 to July 11, 2025.
SHE Teams
SHE Teams conducted 100 decoy operations during the week, apprehending 67 individuals involved in indecent acts in public places. Of these, 45 were booked under petty cases, and all were referred for counselling sessions.
The teams received 29 complaints from women through various channels. In an effort to raise awareness, 51 programs were conducted at different locations, along with four counselling sessions held at the Women and Child Safety Wing office.
Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU)
As part of Operation Muskan-XI, the AHTU rescued 238 children. Among them, 225 were reunited with their families, while 13 were placed in shelter homes. A total of 51 cases were registered under the Cyberabad Commissionerate limits during the operation.
The unit also conducted awareness sessions on issues such as human and child trafficking, child labour, cyberbullying, stalking, social media harassment, child marriage, begging, and cyber fraud. The sessions also covered the use of helplines such as 181 for women, 1098 for children, and emergency numbers like 100 and 1930. Around 172 people attended these sessions.
Bharosa
Bharosa handled 22 family counselling cases involving marital disputes. Efforts were made to help couples resolve issues and restore family ties where possible.
The Cyberabad Women and Child Safety Wing continues its focused work to address safety concerns and provide support services for women and children across the region.
