Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri wins Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand has been crowned Miss World 2025 at the 72nd edition of the pageant, held at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana. She was crowned by Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic, Miss World 2024.
Chuangsri triumphed over 108 contestants from across the globe. Hasset Dereje Admassu of Ethiopia was named first runner-up, while Maja Klajda of Poland took third place. Aurélie Joachim of Martinique secured fourth place.
The event marked the return of the Miss World pageant to India and brought global attention to Hyderabad. Embracing the theme of “Beauty with a Purpose,” the finale showcased cultural exchange, advocacy, and representation on an international stage.
The final event began at 1:00 PM GMT (6:30 PM IST) and was co-hosted by Stephanie del Valle, Miss World 2016, and Indian presenter Sachiin Kumbhar. The evening featured performances by Bollywood actors Jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter.
Actor and humanitarian Sonu Sood was honoured with the Miss World Humanitarian Award and also served on the judging panel. The panel included Julia Morley, Chairwoman of the Miss World Organization; Sudha Reddy, philanthropist and host of the Beauty with a Purpose Gala Dinner; Dr. Caryna Turrell, Miss England 2014 and public health expert; actor Rana Daggubati; IAS officer Jayesh Ranjan; Manushi Chhillar, Miss World 2017; and Namrata Shirodkar, former actress and Miss India.

The finale was attended by prominent figures, including Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and his wife, along with actor Chiranjeevi and his wife. The event concluded with Opal Suchata Chuangsri beginning her reign as Miss World 2025, symbolising purpose, representation, and a new global voice.
