Pawan Kalyan’s ‘OG’ earns ₹26 crore in US premieres

HYDERABAD: The Pawan Kalyan-starrer OG, directed by Sujeeth, opened to strong response worldwide on September 25. Fans and film industry members have been celebrating the release, with discussions already shifting to its box office numbers.

The production house announced on Thursday that OG collected 3 million dollars (around ₹26 crore) from its overseas premieres. It released an official poster confirming the figure, calling it a record for a Telugu star.

Before release, OG faced uncertainty in North America after one major distribution house cancelled its shows, which were later picked up by another. That made the premiere earnings a matter of keen interest among fans and trade analysts.

The makers said this was the first time any Telugu star film grossed 3 million dollars from premieres alone. They added that the film is drawing strong buzz not just in India but across the world.
