Meat shops closed in Hyderabad on October 2

HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has ordered the closure of all meat shops across its limits on October 2.

The date coincides with both Gandhi Jayanti and Dasara festival this year. Officials have directed field staff to strictly monitor and ensure that no meat outlets operate on the day.

The order applies to all types of meat shops within GHMC limits. Officials said instructions have been passed to zonal and circle-level staff for implementation.
