Instead of serving liquor legally available in Telangana, the organizers had procured non-duty paid liquor from Delhi and Goa, as well as Defence (CSD) stocks. Among the seized items were 50 bottles of Black Label whisky from Delhi, 4 bottles from Goa, 3 duty-paid bottles from Telangana, and 12 beer bottles.

Excise Circle Inspector Praveen Kumar led the raid and seized the liquor from the premises. Cases have been registered against both the individual responsible for sourcing the liquor and the owner of the function hall for failing to secure the required liquor consumption license.

Shamshabad Excise Superintendent Krishnapriya confirmed the registration of cases. Excise Enforcement Director Shanawaz Khan commended the team for the successful operation.

Officials cautioned that serving liquor at private functions without proper authorization is a punishable offence under the Excise Act.
